CB Insight has realized a very interesting study on Fintech market, analyzing the trend of 2018 and with some forecasts for 2019.
2018 was a very positive year for Fintech with over 39.57 billion dollars (+ 120% on the previous year), distributed over 1,700 contracts and 1,463 startups globally, and with over 50 investments exceeding 100 million dollars.
The Unicorns rose to 39, including 16 born in 2018, with a global valuation that exceeds 147 billion dollars.
The results of 2018 suggest that fintech will continue growing. The United States is the main market with 659 investments worth $ 11.89 billion, a new annual high, despite the exponential growth of Asia (+ 38%).
